Privacy: we fetch the URL you enter to run the checks, but we never store it. The only thing recorded is an anonymous "grader run" for our own stats. Public websites only.
What the checker checks
Does the browser get YOUR mark?
/favicon.ico reachable, rel="icon" declared, every declared icon actually fetches, all serve real images (not soft-200 error pages), and no page-relative icon paths that break on subpages.
One file for every screen?
Explicit sizes so browsers pick the sharpest variant, an SVG favicon for infinite scaling, an apple-touch-icon for iPhones and iPads, and a web app manifest for installable apps.
Is the chrome on-brand?
theme-color tints the mobile browser bar your color, and declared icons mean tabs, bookmarks, and home screens carry your identity — not a generic globe.
