Free Website Navigation & Menu Checker
Enter any website URL and get a plain-English navigation & menu score — 12 automated checks for the menu structure, labels, mobile menu, skip links, and working links that decide whether visitors find anything at all. Heuristics are stated as heuristics throughout.
Privacy: we fetch the URL you enter to run the checks, but we never store it. The only thing recorded is an anonymous "grader run" for our own stats. Public websites only.
What the checker checks
Can visitors find the menu?
A real nav landmark, one primary menu (not three competing ones), 3–8 top-level items, Home and Contact links, and dropdowns that stay two levels deep.
Do the links make sense?
Descriptive labels (never "click here"), no dead "#" or javascript: placeholders, and every menu link resolving to a real page.
Can everyone use it?
A mobile menu control for small screens, a skip-to-content link for keyboard users, and a call-to-action sitting right in the menu.
