Free Accessibility Checker

Enter any website URL and get a plain-English accessibility score — 12 automated checks for skip links, alt text, form labels, heading structure, semantic landmarks, and captions. This checker grades your own pages' accessibility markup. Security and trust pages are the free security & trust page checker's lane; navigation structure belongs to the free navigation & menu checker; photo grids belong to the free photo gallery & portfolio checker. Heuristics are stated as heuristics throughout — and static markup can only prove so much, which we say plainly below.

Privacy: we fetch the URL you enter (plus up to two linked subpages, to make the coverage checks representative) to run the checks, but we never store it. The only thing recorded is an anonymous "grader run" for our own stats. Public websites only.

What the checker checks

The structure

Can assistive tech read the page?

A skip-to-content link, an html lang attribute, exactly one H1, an unbroken heading outline, and header/nav/main/footer landmarks.

The content

Is everything perceivable?

Image alt text on 60%+, labeled form inputs on 60%+, descriptive link text on 90%+, scoped table headers, and captions or transcripts for media.

The readability

Can everyone perceive it?

A base font-size signal and a color-alone wording signal — stated as heuristics, because static markup cannot measure rendered text or real color contrast.
