Free Documentation Page Checker
Enter any website URL and get a plain-English documentation score — 12 automated checks for a findable docs hub, a real table of contents, structured articles, code examples, a quickstart path, version signals, feedback paths, and freshness dates. This checker grades your own documentation and help-center pages. FAQ pages belong to the free FAQ grader; blog and changelog freshness is the free blog & content hub checker's lane; site-wide search scoring is the free site search checker's lane (here we only check search within the docs); XML sitemaps are the hub's sitemap checker lane. Heuristics are stated as heuristics throughout.
Privacy: we fetch the URL you enter (plus a docs page and one linked doc article, if we find them) to run the checks, but we never store it. The only thing recorded is an anonymous "grader run" for our own stats. Public websites only.
What the checker checks
Can visitors find and navigate your docs?
A detectable docs/help link on the homepage, a docs page that actually resolves, a visible table of contents or nav structure, and a search box on the docs pages.
Is each article built to teach?
Real heading structure, 3+ reachable doc articles, code examples, a getting-started or quickstart path, and zero placeholder copy.
Do the docs look alive and owned?
A version indicator so readers know the docs match the product, a feedback or contact path on every article, and a last-updated signal.
